Students will work directly on the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering's IoT platform and receive a state-of-the-art IoT platform to keep for future experiments.

🔥 High School 🕒 3-week Pre-College Program In-person

About this camp

The UCLA Engineering Design: Internet of Things program offers high school students a rapid and in-depth introduction to the Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine Learning. Participants gain hands-on experience by working directly with UCLA's IoT platform, where they learn to use microsensors, write machine learning algorithms, and develop computational systems that autonomously learn and recognize events. The curriculum includes coding sessions, interactive workshops, and extensive lab hours, with an introduction to C programming. Students will complete eight tutorials and undertake an open-ended final project, allowing them to innovate and implement their own IoT system for a relevant application. The program culminates in a short report and video presentation of their project, fostering practical engineering design skills and an understanding of real-world IoT applications.
